A native of Agawam, Massachusetts and a graduate of Springfield College, Dr. Plourde obtained her dental degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She has also completed all course continuums through the L. D. Pankey Institute for advanced education and received advanced training in Prosthetic Dentistry at Tuft's University. She was a clinical instructor at the Springfield Technical Community College School of Dental Hygiene for many years and also taught at Tuft's University for one year.
Dr. Plourde is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Memberships include:

Dr. Plourde is a lover of animals and nature and is the Founder and President of Feline Friends Inc, a cat rescue and sanctuary.
